Magna Carta
Authored by: Anonymous on Tuesday, July 09 2013 @ 06:46 AM EDT
The object of Magna Carta was to keep King John under control. But I think that
the purpose of every law even the earliest written ones was to keep everybody
including the rulers from misbehaving.
But what that history matters in a country were history is a dirty word -
certainly if it precedes 1776 and is not american - from which nothing can be
learned.

The one that do not know there history is bound to repeat it.

Magna Carta is available, I think I have it somewhere, but it is mostly
superseded by later laws only three paragraphs still in force.

Let us see what America does with there Kafka moment. Might they metamorphose?

The attitude seems to have been Villeins and Serfs, who cares?
