I'm missing your point

I looked at the track data in your post. I don't see what the issue is? The AC
was vectored south at 39,000 ft/500kts, turned left and decended through
18,000/11,000 ft, slowing, turned north onto the runway heading, and continued
to slow and decend. The AC only reached what would be pattern altitude in the
last minute before data termination. The last 6 minutes of flight were on
essentially a constant heading aligned with the runway.

What is it that I'm missing here?

I don't do ---tube, so I have no idea what the germans are flying over SF. Did
somebody do a overhead break in a 747?

The gut-wrenching thing in the data is the way the airspeed kept decaying.
