I was thinking about putting a Surface on my wishlist. I thought I could
justify the purchase, by having Uncle Sam pay for it. Then I discovered
that there is no software that runs on the Surface, in that tiny niche I do
freelance tech support in.
Since Uncle Sam won't pay for it, the Surface is not going to make it to my
wishlist.[ Reply to This | Parent | # ]

Sometimes I have the feeling that commentators on that site
also have to supporter for the area they are following.
Makes me think about conspiracy theory's.
Do they just want very hot discussions, even OS wars, to
fill up the comments section and get attention and publicity
that way?
Or do the bloggers make live easy and accept "suggestions"
from the objects they are following. Copying the numbers
and other data together with the opinions? A Facebook like
situation. And an explanation why open source is not always
that well represented?
Makes one avoid blogs over Windows or MS.
But of course, generalization is to be avoided. For instance
the articles I red from Mary Jo Foley did never give me that
feeling.
