Microsoft should know quite a bit about negative reactions to constant press
visibility.

What they overlook though, is that people also remember whwere it came from.
They are aware that historically, Microsoft was its own worst enemy in
maintaining that visibility, thereby driving much of the negative reaction.

They can also see that its Microsoft driving the visibility still, not Google,
and that can backfire hugely for Microsoft if enough see it as more of same.

Fortunately, no one at Microsoft has a clue, so we can expect a train wreck.
