I assume by:
without the Google search built it
you
meant:
without the Google search built in
What do you mean by
"built in". I'm currently authoring this in Firefox on Gentoo Linux. My search
bar automatically had Google, Yahoo, Bing, Amazon, Twitter, Wikipedia, Ebay. If
I click on "manage search engines" I can arrange them in whatever order I want
with the top being the default. Sort of default anyway. The functionality is
such that whatever I selected last stays there till I select something
else.
I removed Google - and added it back. I can add others to the list
as well.
So is "there by initial default installation" what you consider
"built-in"? If so, then Bing was built in to my install as much as
Google.
If not, perhaps you can identify what I should look for on my
phone. I don't currently have a dataplan but there's a free wifi spot that I
can access tomorrow to see if Google search is enforced on my phone the way the
app ThinkFree Office is.
