Google makes it easier for you. I believe the feature shown at top of screen in
this advertising photo is what MS et al are complaining about. Type
your search straight
into the box on the home screen, or speak it in the case
of this model with voice activated
search. Much easier than cranking up a
browser, finding Google's bookmark, then searching.
Problems? There
doesn't seem to be much room for such a search bar
on this WinPho screen from the same handset maker, even if as you
suggest they make
their own app. Also with the first phone shown, to remove the
Google bar and replace it with
some other will take a competence of fourth
grade or higher. This may eliminate a large number
of potential Bing
users.
