First sentence in last paragraph doesn't make sense
Authored by: NigelWhitley on Thursday, July 18 2013 @ 05:47 PM EDT
"If you agree that this latest tactic of complaining about code distributed
for free" lacks something with which to agree. I guess it should say
"is wrong" or "is criminal" or "is an improper attempt
to use legal authorities for an anti-competitive purpose".

Android is mostly Apache Licensed, not GPL
Authored by: Anonymous on Friday, July 19 2013 @ 09:33 AM EDT
While there is some GPL content in an Android device, the preferred license for
the Android Open Source Project is Apache 2.0. Open Source != GPL. The Linux
kernel underneath is probably the biggest GPL component in Android.

With GPL'd software, a principle difference between it and proprietary software
is that with proprietary software, you charge for a license

Proof URL broken
Authored by: Anonymous on Friday, July 19 2013 @ 08:47 PM EDT
The URL for the 'proof URL' is broken, and redirects to
engadgets main page. There's two spaces in the URL after spied
and before '-again'.

"proof url" link in update 2 is broken
Authored by: achurch on Friday, July 19 2013 @ 08:52 PM EDT

There are two spaces between "spied" and "-again" in the URL which break the "proof url" link in the second update.

Nabi Jr. not Nubi Jr.
Authored by: Anonymous on Friday, July 19 2013 @ 09:46 PM EDT
"Another reader says his toddler uses a Nubi Jr."

It is, as the link shows, a Nabi Jr. There are actually a series of these kids
tablets. I have a Jr. and use it in "mommy mode". It is quite a nice
tablet, and can be rooted to add Play etc. or side-load apps with out rooting.
