Even a very old fashioned TRF receiver would be detectable, as it would tend to generate harmonics of the signal.

It is possible to make receivers which are not detectable, i.e. the radiated signal is so far below thermal noise as to be indistinguishable, but they need fairly complex metallic structures and very good filtering, not just a cheap plastic case.
