I guess we'll no longer be seeing sites that require IE. While not so common
now, it was a real problem a few years ago. Then again, maybe this is just an
attempt to hide from malware. ;-)

I wonder if it finally supports drag-n-drop
Authored by: Anonymous on Wednesday, July 03 2013 @ 12:36 PM EDT

The latest version I've used is IE8. Still no basic drag-n-drop support.

I haven't personally confirmed the version that comes with Win 7 but have been told at least one version there also doesn't support basic drag-n-drop.

It'll be interesting to test version 11 (if and when I ever see it) to see if it can handle selecting the following URL and simply dragging-n-dropping it into a new tab:

    http://www.google.ca

A bit optimistic methinks

A future without IE-specific code branches is near
MS has also coded to standards in the past.... that is historically the first step of embrace, extend and extinguish.

Let's see what MS does in the next 10 years with regards the Web Standards before we congratulate them on conforming to standards.

Why 10 years? How long did MS have the Kerberos standard encoded before they extended it?
