Ignorance
Authored by: Anonymous on Sunday, June 30 2013 @ 01:12 AM EDT
If that was true, investment banks would have gone out of business long time
ago.
Besides, there are oversight mechanisms in place to ensure no banks hold society
hostage due to systemic overweight.
We learned all that in the Great Depression of the 30's and the idea behind
history is to ensure we don't repeat it (the second time as a farce).

opinion of the majority - worthless

One thing is for sure, the stock market does not make money, it merely redistributes resources, from the ignorant masses to the few who actually know how to 'play the game' properly. The dividend stocks are the one place where real money is actually made, but this is all but ignored in comparison to the huge volume of the short term gains market.
