Microsoft car gestures

No one would actually install Microsoft Software in a vehicle
that will drive at high speeds with people inside would they?
Suicide is still discouraged isn't it?

Security breach stopped

PJ responds:

“Actually, keeping up-to-date turned out to be the problem in this scenario. Opera should make automatic updates a choice, not an unavoidable process. This is what can happen when it's handled for the user in the background.”
This does make me wonder about Google Chrome—while, in an update to her response, she admits that she made a mistake, in that Opera does apparently have the option to turn automatic updates off (I wouldn't know, since I don't use Opera), I don't think that Chrome offers such an option. Shouldn't Chrome make automatic updates a choice, too, then?

Mind you—I'm not convinced that turning automatic updates off is necessarily the better (or, conversely, worse) option here; I certainly tend to like being informed when any updates are ready to be applied, but other than that, if the system tells me there are updates waiting, I wouldn't know what else to do than install them.

Having said that, I do prefer to disable automatic updates, and check for updates manually, say, once a week or so. That way, my system will check for and install updates when I'm ready to take the time for the process.
