Anywhere in the EU you have to publish the chemicals you use the only secret you
can keep is the exact proportions. You also have to supply full H&S data for
all those chemicals.
Incidentally chemicals means everything, since unless it's an abstract idea or
electricity it's a chemical!

Not necessarily There are many ways to track One well known technique is to a
use varying proportions of elements and their isotopes to generate an atomic
signature. This could be as simple as doubling the deuterium concentration in a
product to signify a binary 1 add as many bits to identify the item to the
required resolution.

In the US the fluid they remove from the well after they've fracked it is
classified as hazardous waste. It's worse than when it went down, thanks to the
radioactive elements and assorted nastiness found in deep pockets below the
earth. (S2N being a fun one)
The companies want to have it reclassified as "medical waste" so that
it will be up to them, not the government, how they dispose of it. (Within
specific limits..that aren't so limiting)
Bare in mind, this stuff is so bad, it can't currently be recycled, they tried
to put it thru a plant (in jersey as I recall) and the emergency systems shut
the place down because the toxins and radioactivity overloaded the sensors.
Sure, because when I think safety and ecological awareness, I think of the oil
