If the tellers also know you there is no need to prove who
you are. But it is impossible for a election judge to know
everyone in their precinct when elections sometimes happen
once a year and there is a lot of turn over in judges.
I also believe you are presenting a type of catch 22
situation. We cant tell if there is misrepresentation of
votes id without the id. So if we cant prove it we dont need
id's?
In other words we cant have id's to prove fraud, but since
we dont have proof because we have no id's, the id fraud
doesn't exist?
IMHO that is sad reasoning.
On any presidential election there are at least 10 to 20
people that come in who have moved. Most will not tell the
election judge. These people can now impact other elections
they may not be entitled to vote in because they have moved.
Its like clockwork, I even remember the faces of some of
them. [ Reply to This | Parent | # ]

Non-citizens of the U.S. are casting votes in U.S. elections. This is what the
Texas legislature is trying to address in requiring photo ID's at the polls.
