Texas is now as liable to be sued as Arizona
or any other
state.
No, the voting rights act has not been struck
down.
In how things will work in real life, the act has been
struck. States, counties, etc. will make changes, they will be sued and will, in
many cases lose the suit and have to revert the change, but the changes will be
effective until the suit has made its way though all the courts.
After
the change has been struck down, another change will be implemented, forcing yet
another lawsuit and the new change will be effective until it is struck down by
the courts.
