Nathan Myhrvold Tries To Avoid a Lodsys Deposition and Spills Some Beans ~pj
Authored by: Anonymous on Saturday, June 22 2013 @ 07:12 PM EDT
Wow, he is even busier than his lawyers claimed! It must take a lot of time to
run a troll patent business full time and to also be a part-time author and
aspiring celebrity chef.

2 or 3 hours less spent on his cooking business could mean the loss of a book
signing or guest judging gig.

He seems to have no qualms about wasting other people's time with groundless
lawsuits.

Why not put him on a 'No-Fly' list for a few days? That will curtail his
jet-setting (unless he uses a private Jet).

Being serious for a moment, if the US DA's were serious they would issue a
subpoena and force him to attend the deposition. Ok he might answer in much the
same way that Oliver North did all those years ago but at least he will attend.
He might not like it but short of putting him in the witness box and reminding
him that the (AFAIK) 5th amendment does not apply to civil matters he should be
made to testify.
Being too busy is an affront to the legal process and the Judge should take it
as an insult to them personally (unless IV made a contribution to their
re-election campaign that is)

cynical me? you betcha.

Ubuntu & 'apt-get' are not the answer to Life, The Universe & Everything which
is of course, "42" or is it 1.618?

But in the case of his book 'Modernist Cuisine,' I'm sorely tempted to make an
exception.

Good, maybe Microsoft will kill Oracle too. Let them fight it out rather than bother us.
