There's clouds... and then there's dark clouds.

This one looks like a good reason to move to better climes.

Microsoft getting desperate
Authored by: Anonymous on Monday, June 24 2013 @ 07:47 PM EDT
So no one wants Windows, but Oracle still holds a dominant share of databases.
M$ believes that the data is more important than a clunker OS, so they hope that
enterprises will overlook Windows just to keep up to date with Oracle.

I suspect it won't work quite as hoped for M$, since Oracle has been losing
ground for some time, but I don't see where Oracle has much to lose here. The
clients that are on Windows now, may or may not, move to Azure, but Oracle
profits either way.

Its M$ that stands to lose, since Oracle products are known to run on Linux as
well, and once the inevitable reliability issues with Windows surface, which way
do you think the move will be?

Yes, M$ partners tend to not fare well, but Oracle partners haven't done too
well either.
