I never claimed Ethernet was X.25. I said radio amateurs adapted X.25 in packet
radio, which was also based in part on the Aloha network. I have read about
Aloha Net inspiring Ethernet from several sources, including the book
"Ethernet The Definitive Guide" by Charles Spurgeon (O'Reilly). In the
first chapter "The Evolution of Ethernet", the second section has the
title "The Aloha Network" and goes on to describe how Bob Metcalfe's
memo discusses the Aloha network.

There is also a section on the Aloha system and how it was adapted in Andrew
Tanenbaum's Computer Networks. Section 3.2
