Plane ready to take Snowden to Iceland
Authored by: Anonymous on Friday, June 21 2013 @ 03:10 PM EDT
Snowden would be better off staying in Hong Kong for another two
or so years, waiting for those wheels of justice to grind. More
precisely, wait until Xi Jingping privately suggests that moving to
Iceland might be a good idea.

Historically, the Tongs have ignored requests from non-Chinese,
even after the appropriate protection money has been paid. As
such, I doubt that Snowden has much to fear from them, unless
there is a major joint task force that completely rolls up one of the
dozen or so tongs that operate in the United States.

For those who insist on uptodate Reuters, try this

or news.google.com will give you 307 flavors
If I were Snowden I would have made arrangements
to get on a scheduled airliner with citizens of many other countries.

Media stunt
Authored by: Anonymous on Saturday, June 22 2013 @ 05:11 AM EDT
If the business man had been in earnest, (s)he would have quietly slipped Mr.
Snowden out of HK and then told of his assist *after* the plane was safely back
in Iceland.
Making a splash up front smacks of ego-tripping.
