Do any of our Swedish friends know how cozy the Nobel Committee-Monsanto

Speaking as a native Iowan, like Borlaug, Borlaug was well-
intentioned, but didn't thoroughly research his
developments, as he was in too much of a hurry to "solve"
the world hunger problem. Beware of mixing science and
politics!
If you look at past issues of the USDA Yearbook, I am told
that you will find decreasing levels of nutrients for
various crops over time. We are producing more bulk, but
perhaps not much more in the way of nutrients. Thisi s true
all the way back up the food chain, so meat that is fed out
on GM grains is not as nutritious because of the decrease in
nutrients per unit bulk. Meanwhile, as the body will eat
until its nutrient requirements are fulfilled, we see an
epidemic of obesity.
Unintended consequences are so inconvenient!
Meanwhile, back at the Fake Science Department, Monsanto?
Really? Really, really? The flim-flam and the glitz has
taken over. Monsanto (I am also a past Monsanto employee)
cares for nothing but its bottom line. The Nobel Prizes are
diminished by this action. They might as well give Microsoft
a Prize for Computing Technology.

Mansanto has not won the "Nobel prize for Agriculture".
Monsanto won the "World Food Prize".
The prises are not the same so the heading is very misleading..[ Reply to This | Parent | # ]

Will they teach the potatoes to swim?
Or the crops to run away?
