What is Project Loon?

Do you really think Google didn't consider these issues? Really? I'd bet money they did thousands, perhaps millions of simulations of the paths the balloons will follow.

Anyway, I'm just relieved they didn't call it SkyNet.

If you scroll down just a bit, the second video on that page explains how they steer the balloons and how the natural motion is part of the design. Here is the Y ouTube page of that video so you don't have to go to the bother of scrolling down.

What is Project Loon?
Authored by: Wol on Monday, June 17 2013 @ 11:37 AM EDT

project of balloons after a bird that cannot fly very well at all...

Cheers,
Wol
