actually, with a modern sewing machine you just may be able to do that. :-)

it all depends on which singer machine you pick

So is a Britney Spears CD
Authored by: Anonymous on Thursday, June 13 2013 @ 04:10 AM EDT
It transforms an empty CD player into a machine that plays Britney Spears songs at the touch of a button. Clearly, the CD is worthy of patent protection as well as copyright protection.

A CD, MP3 file, 78 or wax cylinder of any other artist's music would equally transform the machine designed to play it of course. And of course, ebooks transform devices like the kindle into machines that show you a particular set of words.

And this particular string:
echo hello world
transforms a computer that otherwise wouldn't do so into a machine that prints "hello world" on the screen, althought I believe there is probably prior art for that particular invention.

It takes a machine that is capable of running software, and transforms it into a
machine running software.

Can't you see that inventive tranformation?

Much like my patent for "A method of data storage" which involves a
storage device (a briefcase), data (a sheaf of papers), a security device (a
latch) and an unlocking/locking gesture (the patented method). Because
performing my patented gesture (moving the latch button sideways) allows one to
open the briefcase and insert the data into the storage device, thereby
transforming it from a device *capable* of containing papers into a device that
*contains* papers. Wow! Who'da thunk?
