It is just a mindset.
If someone steals your tv/car/etc., it is no problem as long as you do not
care.

Some have a sort of nihilistic view of privacy.
"There is no problem because we don't care about it."

Or maybe it is a mild form of Stockholm syndrome, can't do much about it
therefore accept the positive side (so called security) as a good thing.
