and then your application will be thrown out because hand
crank generators have been around for decades... so this
isn't the "perfect" example ... so, what?
The other point is that "unpatentably abstract" isn't
exactly defined in strict terms by the courts. But it does
exist, and i truly believe that, hand crank generator aside,
if you built a bicycle powered mechanical generator and
patent that, you "deserve" a patent on a bicycle powered
mechanical generator, not all mechanical generators. You
believe what you want. but any example you can find where a
company has abstractly defined a patent, a lot of those
software patents that are being weaponized today are being
looked at more closely, and are found to be non-patent-
worthy.
