Kevin Dallas, who runs the Windows Emedded[sic] business, says Microsoft has more mature and sophisticated technology: “The No. 1 commercial platform today is Windows Embedded.”
BloombergBusinessweek

Well, he would say that wouldn't he. So, are there any independent figures for the top embedded system?

I know Apple isn't exactly a hot flavor round here nowadays,
but where is the pillory when you need one?

Congratulations PJ...Applications Developer Alliance Amicus in Oracle v Google Appeal!!!!!
Authored by: Anonymous on Sunday, June 02 2013 @ 10:46 AM EDT
PJ,

You had better get that red dress ready...the entire computing world is filing
amicus briefs in Oracle versus Google's appeal, and they all say the same thing:
Alsup was rightr.

Groklaw has played at least a small role in starting this avalanche, and when
the verdict comes down, we will want to see that red dress again!

apple e-book pricing lawsuit, end of MFN clauses?
Authored by: Anonymous on Sunday, June 02 2013 @ 01:49 PM EDT
this is the first article I've read on the subject that indicates that the
Justice department is going after the Most Favoured Nation clause.

http://www.reuters.com/article/2013/06/02/us-apple-ebooks-trial-idUSBRE951070201

What do folks think of this?

I have mixed feelings, On the one hand, MFN clauses greatly simplify price
negotiations, but as we are seeing here they can cause a lot of headachea as
well.

Thinking about it, I think that it's perfectly fine to negotiate a MFN clause on
the wholesale price (what the distributor pays the producer), but if you apply
it to the retail price (what the consumer pays the distributor), bad things
start to happen
