I did not say anything about any part of what I was describing as being covered
by copyright or not being covered by copyright. I was merely pointing out that
PJ's interpretation of the working code behind the API being an SDK was not
correct when talking about the code that implements the API. An SDK helps an
application developer write to the API without having to do a lot of low level
coding. It allows you to call the functions described by the API, but the SDK
does not implement the functions described by the API. That is the function of
the compiler, or the interpreter, or the run time environment, depending on the
programming language and implementation involved in a particular API.
