Serious issue with a serious plan: How to operate small devices?

The question being asked at my house is why I need a clunker desktop box to
support my 15 inch screen, when I can just buy a tablet that size and hang a
keyboard (and maybe a big hard drive) off of it, or just get a flat-screen TV
that size...

I probably haven't bought my last desktop...but only because I have a minor
obsession with computational number theory and bitcoin!

Windows *anything* has such a bad reputation for reliability and security (pain
in the neck cost!) that, like with Vista, nobody wants to jump to the new
platform.

If they want to make a go of it, they will need to find another source of income
besides Windows Licenses...like maybe putting Android on their stuff and
supporting the heck out of it!

For me the greatest attraction to Windows was this, and I have a website where I offer many little apps and utilities I developed over the years.
If GL posting policy allows it, I would like a chance to browse your site. Curiosity killed the cat :-)
