AFAIK, Java includes the api in the COMPILED class files. I
know I've inspected class files and found the public members
(methods and attributes), meaning the whole api minus the
javadoc comments, using netbeans. In fact, I believe that
using reflection, one can even find about protected, and
private methods. AFAIK, for Java, the ABI is the API, because
the JVM uses the method names to decide what method to call.
