I think I very much get it.....

and I am all the way through arguing that API is not copyrightable because it is
a concept...

I am very annoyed and very angry that the EFF, and all the 'luminaries' have
chosen to put across all the great things that have happened because APIS are
not copyrighted and how awful it might have been if there had been API copyright
and at no point do they mention the elephant in the room.

When talking about 'an API' you are talking about a concept.
Plain and simple.
You can't copyright a concept. It's the law.

And as if that wasn't enough what they have written is largely inaccurate.

These are supposed to be the worlds leading experts, they even confuse API and
Protocol.

I am appalled. much more so than I am by the unpleasantness against anonymous
posters that some have shown.
