That's the whole point: APIs are not copyrightable - except
oracle is claiming they are, and if APIs are they must have
always been copyrightable (just that no one realised it). If
oracle succeeds then compaq and every one who has distributed
/ is distributing a clone BIOS machine is guilty of copyright
infringement - it is one [possibly] unintended consequence of
oracle's action; has oracle itself been party to this
infringement (clearly wilfully as they claim APIs are
copyrightable and so would know it was so)?
