Consider that an event happens which causes the following three stories.
a) CBS News bulletin! Obama pins medal on Open Source Hero!
It's a bit vague. Who is that Open Source Hero? So it's accurate, but not really precise.

b) Fox News bulletin! Michelle Obama awards Florian Mueller, from Groklaw, the Medal of Wowness (tm) for services to the Free/Libre Open Source community for her tireless efforts over the past decade.
Ahh. It's not the President that was giving the award, it was the 1st Lady. So there's precision in that we now know it was Mrs Obama and Florian Mueller. But we know it's not accurate since Florian (spit) is hardly an "Open Source Hero".

c) Groklaw News bulletin! Michelle Obama awards Pamela Jones, from Groklaw, the Medal of Wowness (tm) for services to the Free/Libre Open Source community for her tireless efforts over the past decade. Pamela, looking stunning in her red dress, thanked Mrs Obama and asked whether she had some time free to transcribe some Comes documents.
Now, this is the real story. It is accurate and it is precise. Well, as much as it needs to be in this example[1].

[1] Rumour has it that Mrs Obama did invite PJ to join the family for dinner at the White House but she had to decline as there were new filings in both SCO v IBM and Apple v Samsung and it was going to be a long night.
