'SmartPhone Addiction'
Authored by: Anonymous on Wednesday, May 29 2013 @ 12:29 PM EDT
Indeed that is the case. Personally I am content with my ordinary Samsung C3630.
I just want to be able to make and take calls and that one works anywhere in the
world. And, I only pay for what I use. The number is limited to close family
members who know it is an emergency contact number and they respect that. When
traveling I call them daily at agreed times or leave a text message. The thought
of lugging a smartphone around does not appeal at present. I have no need of one
and don't see why I should pay a lot of additional money for what I already
have.

More time to answer in detail:

>From their comments
>They:-
>Don't fit into pockets especially shirt ones
D'oh! Obviously!!!

>Are really awkward to use if you have small hands
Nope use it 2 handed like God intended.

>A number of application seem to all want access to
>'Contacts' and then they
>'phone home'
Only install apps from google play and install Lookout.

>I have huge 'plates of meat' for hands and even the largest
>Samsung is a PITA
>(Arm) to use.
Have you weak arms!?!??? Its Feather Light.
The Note one is only 178g (6.28 oz)

>Anyway these devices are irrelevant to me as I've junked my
>HTC Smartphone and
>gone back to a simple Nokia.
Different strokes for different folks.

>What is of more concern to me is 'SmartPhone Addiction'.
>Just take a few minutes to do a bit of people watching and
see how (mainly women) can't stop checking their phone every
minute or so. IMHO, these people need help.

No leave them alone - they are keeping in touch with family
and friends - keeping up with the news and their purchases.

You Know... the reason they invested in a Smart Phone :-P
