Chromebook and the Big Box Store War
Authored by: joef on Monday, May 27 2013 @ 10:15 AM EDT
I've recently seen ads for systems with Windows-8, including photos showing the
W-8 desktop, that state "Boots to Windows-7"

Go figure.

Google and the Big Box Store Buddies

With javascript Off, clicking on the Buy Now brings up a page
showing Chromebook available in nine countries from twenty
electronics chain stores.

With javascript On clicking on the Find a Store Near You
brings up Google Maps centered on the Coffeeyville Country Club KS,
with an invitation to find a BestBuy store near me.

I guess I'll see it in the Shenzhen markets next time I go there,
the price is intriguing. A couple of articles suggest the BoM is $148,
and other reviews are satisfied that $200 is a fair retail price
for the hardware, and it could run any other OS you like.
