Since this is the corrections thread
Authored by: bugstomper on Friday, May 24 2013 @ 06:22 AM EDT
First some corrections. 1. The parent post is not appropriate to the corrections
thread which is where you post things like typos, mistyped links, simple errors
of fact. Not flames against the entire article much as you might like to think
that your being right makes it a "correction". 2. The parent post is
wrong in a style that is very trollish - In ways that could sound good to
someone who reads the post without digging into what it is actually claiming.
For example, that thing about "predictive text". Sounds like you
really know what you are talking about ad are putting PJ in her place on a
technical point. Until one actually reads the claims that PJ printed in full
which nowhere mention predicting text as it is typed. The closest it comes to
prediction are claims that adds the step of ordering the items in the history
list by how recently and how often they have been used. The rest of the post is
wrong in similar ways that appear too deliberate to deserve being corrected
point by point.
