Prenda lawyer has a bad day - Clickies from a previous article

The parent is arsTechnica. Below are links to related content at TPLF and Popehat.

"Prenda Seeks Stay Pending Appeal"  (The Pietz Law Firm web page, 16+17 May 2013)

NB - As of 19 May 2013 the page is minimal text with links to the Hansmeier PDF and Pietz's reply PDF.

...
Apparently Mr. Hansmeier was seeking admission to the bar of the Ninth Circuit in order to represent an objector on the Groupon class action. The Ninth Circuit, having seen Judge Wright's order, is less than welcoming in an order by an appellate commissioner:
...

"Prenda Law: The Sound of One Shoe Dropping"  (Popehat blog post, 20 May 2013)

P.S. Supposedly, the objector (Padraigin Browne) is both an attorney and Mr. Hansmeier's wife. If true, he will have little difficulty informing his client of his status.

Denied, without predjudice.

Basically, it says:
"No you can't skip to the head of the line. There are procedures. Go back
to Judge Wright and get his denial before you come whining here."

So it looks like by trying to appeal directly to the circuit instead of the
district court, Mr. Hansmeier has shorted himself, since he had a 21 day
deadline and has now lost a week of that...

Strategic planning doesn't appear to be his strongpoint.
