Windows XP will never die. I have a laptop thar still runs Windows 3.1.
The point is that there is code people depend on which will not run on a
newer OS. So supported or not, there are people who will not switch.
Publicized numbers are based on systems using a browser to access the
internet. There is no measure of systems running on isolated networks
running no longer supported code.
This may be foolish, but it is the real world.
People are talking about a panic conversion from XP to Win 7. I don't
expect it until just before you can no longer install 7.
