FP: Canada’s Competition Bureau plans investigation into Google Canada
Authored by: Anonymous on Sunday, May 19 2013 @ 02:51 PM EDT
It's amazing that our noble gov. can find time to investigate Google for
releasing into a competitive market very effective products at very compelling
prices, but cannot be bothered to investigate the crushing oligopoly in our
telecommunications biz.

Bell, Rogers, and Telus run almost everything telecoms in Canada and engage in
blatant price-fixing at outrageous cost to consumers. Telus just bought one of
the few small competitors that have been a tiny ray of light in this dark market
(http://mobilesyrup.com/2013/05/16/telus-to-acquire-mobilicity-and-its-250000-su
bs-for-380-million/)

Probably the robellus conglomerate were afraid that Google would release their
fibre initiative in Canada or otherwise help us escape the weight of the
non-competitive incumbents.
