You misunderstand the case, this is not about the validity of the patents, if it
was I suspect groklaw would take a different view (though I'm not actually if
these are software patents or hardware patents). This case however is about
whether or not Motorola is entitled to an injunction on patents that are
(presumed to be) valid but essential for some standards. There is no debate
about the validity of the patents, just how much Apple has to pay to use them,
and whether Motorola can get an injunction using them.[ Reply to This | Parent | # ]

Ah, I see your misunderstanding. In reality, Motorola is not dependent on math
patents. They have real (actual devices containing actual machinery) patents.[ Reply to This | Parent | # ]
