I Like the ASUS ad that says "say no to annoying trackpad clicks", but
the laptop pictured has a trackpad.[ Reply to This | Parent | # ]

I have a windows 8 laptop without a touchscreen(supposedly the worst windows 8
experience) and I personally do not understand why people are freaking out?
There is nothing confusing about the device. Net changes were to swap out the
start menu for a tiled menu, add on a mobile app store, and add some competing
menus. I don't really find it any better or worse than windows 7. It has been
pretty stable for me it runs pretty smoothly( especially considering it is low
end 300 dollar laptop from january). It did not change my life but neither did
my android phone which took more curiosity to figure out.
I understand the microsoft is a corporate bully but as for the product that came
out, it seems functional to me and atleast as stable as ubuntu 12 has been for
me with access to a wider array of programs. As a first attempt at
mobile/desktop convergence it is not terrible. Since convergence is definitely
happening, it was a step they had to take. If this operating system did not come
from Microsoft, would we hate it?[ Reply to This | Parent | # ]
