Sorry. Tried so hard to get the link right
but this cell phone interacts very badly
with the comment forms, and the link
Goggle news gave me was humongous.
I am getting a new phone in a few days,
a Samsung Note I I. Will soon learn if
that can handle Groklaw posts.

What's the problem? Everyone is doing it!
So if Corporations can inappropriately acquire phone records on their people and anyone they deem appropriate....

.... why can't the Authorities do the same to the Corporations?

I don't condone anyone acquiring private information inappropriately no matter who the "owner" of that private information is.

My point is: this should be a wake up call for the people who run Corporations that anything they think they should have the right to do to others, others should equally have the right to do to them.

If they wouldn't like being the target of the behavior - then they need to decide not to commit the behavior.

Ethics and morals do matter.

Justice department secretly spying on AP

This is the same Justice Department that killed Aaron Swartz.

Now they think it's perfectly okay to gather any sort of phone records they
want.

This is also the same Justice Department that is suppose to investigate the IRS
for abuse of power.

What is the report going to look like?

After thorough investigation we fell that the IRS's abuse of power was
amateurish at best. The IRS and it's leaders should be instructed in the
following additional methods to best abuse their power:...
