Microsoft Patents Cartooning your Face

so all of the software that has been out there for years and
all of the artists that do it for a buck on the street are now
in direct violation of yet another bogus patent ?

IANAL

Prior Art galore

Such software has been around for many years. I vaguely remember using it on a
386 computer and possibly on a Commodore or Sinclair too. My kids who are now
grown up and parents themselves had lots of fun. A quick search of Google
reveals lots of such applications going back years. How come this patent?

EA Sports may be a target for an infringement claim.

I think I have Tiger Woods 2012 golf game. If you have the PS3 camera, you can take a photo of your face and it'll be morphed on to your golphing character.

I've been wanting to draw a good cartoony image of a "human-type dog face" so I could have a dog-faced player.

If I did that, I wonder if I'd be in violation of the patent....

Strange when acting on such a simple task generated from such an innocent thought can infringe someone's preeeecccciiioouuussssss.
