Did Internet Sales Tax Backers Bribe Congress?

It is most likely largely along party lines and Democrats are more sympathetic
to the increased tax. There is also the pressure from local and state
governments to allow them to increase revenues.

Of course they did.

Mind you, it appears to only be that legal
form of bribery you have in the US known as
'campaign contributions', but a bribe is a
bribe. Or so the anti-bribery training I've
had to do at two separate employers would
tell me.
