Ah, yes. Why indeed?

There are ugly ones and better ones. The
better one could be that their lawyers
told them not to. Maybe they feel that
a mistake should not be taken advantage
of, and out of respect for the court they
decided to honor the confidentiality instead
of the mistake.

But Taibbi is an in-depth journalist, and
he saw what it means, and so they risked
a lawsuit to tell the world what they
found.

Both choices are admirable, in my view. It's
a question of what you think is more important.
And questions like that are faced by editors
all the time. It's part of the job, and it's
hard sometimes to know which way to go. It's
what separates the men from the boys, though,
without a doubt.

But can you imagine how the CEO of Overstock
is feeling today? That guy is a real man,
as they say. A stand up guy. He got death
threats, you know. And Sen. Orrin Hatch stood
by him, to protect him, to his credit.

Isn't this old news?

... I remember that article from nearly a year ago. An update
to it mentions Joe Floren, and provides a link to an article
dated 15th May 2012 (and not 2013).
