Maybe the oxygen candles?
Authored by: Anonymous on Friday, July 12 2013 @ 08:56 PM EDT
The oxygen candles used in modern aircraft are extremely flammable. A few highlights:
  • The exterior temperature of the canister will reach 260 °C (500 °F).
  • It will produce oxygen for 12 to 22 minutes.
  • Accidental activation of improperly shipped expired generators caused the ValuJet Flight 592 crash.
