At least, not for me.
Abstract means "is internally, logically consistent. Therefore it has no
fixation to reality".
Okay, abstract stuff can describe reality but at its fundamental roots,
everything abstract is built upon the concept "because I say so!".
Newton said "we have three dimensions plus time", and on that he built
classical mechanics. If you try and prove classical mechanics correct, it's not
(that) hard. The only problem is that scientific experiments tell us that
classical mechanics is not an accurate description of reality.
Then Einstein came along and said "hey, it's not 3 dimensions plus time,
it's 4 dimensions including time". Much better fit to reality. But there
are still discrepancies.
Science has been rinsing and repeating this cycle for ages...
Cheers,
