Not that they care about little problems like "Correctness", or aren't
afraid of mathematical notation, or actually try to put REAL graphs (Yes, Excel
is significantly more addled than even Lotus 1-2-3) in.

Word supports insertion of pictures, WISYWIG, that is all they care about.

It also does support styles, auto-generated tables of contents, figures, and a
degree of document automation that keeps changing interfaces between versions --
so you aren't safe if you have to keep producing similar documents for a long
time, as we do.

We have been fortunate not to catch any Word macro viruses -- and OpenOffice
supports more Word formats better and sooner than Word itself.
