Bill seems to have this idea that if it doesn't run Microsoft
Office it's not a real computer.

If you are looking for trouble try doing a thesis on one. I'm not and I don't
have one.

Would you write a book on Windows 8?

To write a book you only need a pencil.

If - tablet has HDMI, can hook up to full size monitor, use bluetooth keyboard (even portable)

I would not buy a tablet without HDMI connector ability.
Need to hook up to larger monitor or TV, then
can use wireless (bluetooth or USB) keyboard, depending.

I can't wait for Ubuntu (especially LUBUNTU, with it's netbook GUI can be very
touch friendly) to be supported on a wider range of "tablet"
computers... as, then, will have all my favorite apps, optional use of keyboard
- of course wanted still is HDMI and wireless keyboard ability.
