The
Swartz case will never fade from my mind.
The 'public', who appear to
have the attention span of a gnat, have decided that Tsarnaev is as guilty as
sin, and have condemned him to death, urged on by such statements as:
“I hope that the U.S. attorney, Carmen Ortiz, takes him on the federal
side and throws the book at him,” Boston Mayor Tom Menino said..." (another
political hack strutting his stuff)
I don't think Tsarnaev will be able
to get good representation (or a fair trial), as most lawyers don't want to be
turned into pariahs by simply taking a case.
Ortiz 'threw the book at' Swartz
and it blew up in her face. Wouldn't it be funny if she lost the case against
Tsarnaev, and he ended up in a mental institution instead of prison?

In their paper, the
researchers divided the process of evolving into a criminal hacker into three
stages: initiation, growth, and maturation. According to the paper, the middle
stage is the only one getting any real attention.
Too
