I gave up trying to get it fixed, and now

And that would be exactly why confirmation of the actual source of the information has great value.

If I read:

Wikipedia says X

Universities 1, 2 and 3 say Y I'm personally more inclined to give the Universities the greater weighting of actual facts.

Especially since Wikipedia does not view the Author of a work as the ultimate source to speak of the intent behind the work.
