However, the concept of resistance alone should not be sufficient reason to
fight against whatever you choose to fight against.
To put in the example
of an extreme:
In order to fight against being verbally bullied, you commit
suicide!
There are other reasons, and other tools, to fight
for/with.
There is no good point to terrorism. And such an act as what
occurred at the Boston Marathon is nothing less then terrorism. To deliberately
target and kill civilians is nothing less then barbaric slaughter.
As a
society we need to find better tools to fight against it - I'm sufficiently
unwise to be able to suggest even one better tool. But with how the situations
are being handled - I can see it seems to be more reaction then thoughtful
action.
And initial reactions to harm tend to be ... more firm - then if
they're thought out once the emotions have calmed.
