The current definition is:
The term “destructive device”
means—
(A) any explosive, incendiary, or poison gas—
(i) bomb,
(ii)
grenade,
(iii) rocket having a propellant charge of more than four
ounces,
(iv) missile having an explosive or incendiary charge of more than
one-quarter ounce,
(v) mine, or
(vi) device similar to any of the
devices described in the preceding clauses;
I think America
should be big enough to distinguish between attacks that kill hundreds to
thousands, and basic personal munitions.
A small rocket and/or miniature
missile is less deadly than an assault rifle. A grenade or a landmine can kill
several people simultaneously, however as any soldier knows, the real weapon is
the rifle.
32,000 people die in the US every year from gun shots. The only
thing that can top that number is a nuclear, chemical, and/or biological attack. [ Reply to This | Parent | # ]
